For its SS21 collection, Saint Laurent turned to Gaspar Noé to direct this seven-minute film. The short film reflects his dark universe, with its red reflections, where everything comes to life between darkness and subdued light. Here, the red of love, the red of passion, the Saint Laurent red, invites itself in this mysterious night, where we are bored as much as we are entertained, where the models, dressed in Saint Laurent's summer collection, prefer the obscurity to the sun. Charlotte Rampling leads a remarkable group of models, including renowned names of the fashion scene such as Mica Arganaraz, Anok Yai and Aylah Mae Peterson. As for the soundtrack, Donna Summer's iconic track, "I Feel Love", remixed by Sebastian, lulls our nostalgic icons to sleep. They walk the gothic corridors in the strong rooms of the collection, leaning on boudoirs, playing chess. Summer of '21 is an invitation to party, but in small groups, in a deafening silence, away from everything. |
