| Short Synopsis: | "Tunnel" is a work by Alanca Hu, a graduate student in costume design at the London College of Fashion. Dreams have always been a central theme in his research, as he believes that within the void and fantasy of dreams, people often experience the most authentic emotions. For Jiajun, dreams are a crucial pathway to exploring and understanding one's innermost feelings. In the fashion short film "Tunnel," Alanca Hu delves into the sense of crisis and unease felt under a patriarchal world. The protagonist enters a deep tunnel within her dream, where surveillance cameras, black-and-white striped clothing, and bright red tubes extricated from the body lead her into hallucinations. The gaze from reality infiltrates her dream, causing her to lose the distinction between reality and illusion. Through "Tunnel," Alanca Hu demonstrates how dreams mirror our deepest fears and desires, and how the boundaries between dream and reality blur. This short film is not only a visual experience but also a journey of the soul, inviting the audience to explore the protagonist's inner truth. |
